Six vendors achieved a total clearance with the top price of $8,500 paid for Borilla Creek 245 offered by the Oates Family, Emerald.  This sire was purchased by the Maguire Family, Scrubbee, Dingo. Borilla Creek averaged $5,153 for thirteen bulls. Lunar Brangus averaged $5,400 for their five bulls. Triple B averaged $4,142 for 21 sires, Charlevue Brangus averaged $4,635 for 18 bulls, Coolabah Brangus averaged $4,250 for twelve bulls and Silent grove averaged $4,250 for their eight bulls. Sid Goodwin, Tanderra Station Springsure purchased18 bulls for an average of $4,940 and Sharon Bush purchased 14 bulls for Maytoe Station Alpha at a $4,357 average.

Bonox Brangus topped the sale at $20,000 for Bonox 493 purchased by TripleB Brangus, Dingo Qld. Second top price was Jay-Eff Diplomat for $17,000 offered by Jeff Frank and purchased by Triple B Brangus. Top price heifer was Bonox B514 offered by B & L Woodard and purchased by Jeff & Raelea Holzwart, Kensington, Emerald. Volume buyers included Rob McKenna (12 heifers and three bulls), Big River Brangus (8 bulls) Bill Walker (7 bulls) Dartmoor Station (6 bulls) & Barranga Grazing (6 bulls).

Boonderoo Brangus topped the sale at $17,000 for Boonderoo Dozer selling to Jayson & Mandy Wilson, Injune. Second top price was Bonox 504 for $15,000. Sixteen heifers also sold for an average of $1,700.

2012 CENTRAL CLASSIC BRANGUS SALE

The Central Brangus Classic at CQLX Gracemere on the 31st August topped at $20,000 for a Bonox Brangus bull. The Deguara Family, Bimbora Brangus, Nebo, purchased Bonox Luke (P), an 810kg, 35-month-old, by Glenwood 192 for the top price. Luke scanned 11mm and 7mm for P8 and rib respectively and an eye muscle area of 121 sq cm. A total of 74 bulls were offered at the sale, of which 73 sold for a clearance rate of 99 per cent. The sale grossed $395,000 for an average of $5411 per head. Two bulls achieved the second top price of $13,000.
