Beef Australia 2012

Beef Australia Ltd is a not-for-profit member based association established to direct and manage the planning and development of Australia's national beef cattle expositions.

The first of the expositions took place in 1988 as part of Australia's bicentennial year as a celebratory event for the beef industry. The inaugural Beef 88 event was so successful organisers decided to run a similar event in 1991 and triennially thereafter with the most recent success being Beef Australia 2009.

Staged in Australia's Beef Capital - Rockhampton, Queensland, the beef expositions have become an icon event for the Australian beef industry and a major event for the State of Queensland. Over the years the expositions have grown in size, impact and sophistication with a continued increase in participation and visitation by both members of the beef industry and lovers of beef alike.

Through the continued vision of the original founders of the exposition in 1988 the beef expositions have effectively demonstrated the quality beef product of Australia, successfully bringing together the various alliance groups, stakeholders, customers and the community to ensure the continued long-term profitability of the industry and the event.
