DNA SUBMISSION PROCESS
There are two forms which members can use to submit DNA requests.
DNA Samples must be sent to the ABCA office and must be accompanied by a form. Samples which are sent directly to Neogen will be incur an additional fee and an extended processing time.
> PDF SUBMISSION FORM
The PDF form provides a space for 6 animals to be listed on each sheet and can be printed and completed by hand. This form is ideal for those sending less than 10 animals away in a batch.
If you wish to have the animals you are testing verified against a large number of potential Sires, please accompany the form a list of Sires. The list must be comprised of the animal ident, animal name and DNA case number. All of this information can be found using the Animal Search function (click here). Incorrect information on this list may result in animals not being included in the testing list and additional testing being required and charges being incurred.
> EXCEL SUBMISSION FORM
The excel form provides a space for over 700 animals to be listed. The excel submission form must be emailed to the office and a note should be included when samples are sent to the office advising that the submission form had been emailed.
The excel submission form is the preferred method of submitting samples as it provides a convenient file for the Society & the member. We highly recommend the excel submission form for anyone testing over 10 animals in a batch.
Please Note: You must complete the excel form provided, altering the form or adding additional information will result in form needing to be repopulated and additional processing time and charges may apply.

Animal Idents
It is extremely important that the correct animal ident is written on the form. If you just put an animals name, ear tag only or any other information the incorrect animal may be tested against and you will need to request another test (charges apply)
Submission Letter
Once a batch has been processed at the office you will receive an email with a letter attached. This letter will outline the animals and tests requested within a batch. If you notice any errors or would like any changes made after receiving the letter, please contact the office ASAP.
