2020 BRANGUS CARCASE COMPETITION

Entry forms for the 2020 Brangus Carcase Competition will be available in early January.

There are some changes happening in 2020 including;

  • Class added to include Purebred Brangus Heifers
  • Class added to include Cross Bred Heifers
  • Following on from 2019 entry weights of steers will be 330-480kg, full weight at home
  • Grand Champion Pen prize added
  • Grand Champion Carcase prize added
  • The 2020 Carcase Competition Wine & Dine Awards night will be held at Bracken Ridge Tavern, Brisbane after EKKA Judging
The Brangus Carcase Competition is open to Brangus members and the public. If you know of someone who is not a member but may be interested in entering cattle into the competition please send their details to tessa@brangus.com.au

DNA TESTING PROCESS ABCA have made the following changes to the DNA Testing Process to implement an effective and efficient process. By implementing these changes, the DNA testing process can become more efficient - resulting in quicker sample arrival at the lab reduced risk of sample damage minimized discrepancies ultimately benefiting the members and enhancing overall experience Members are asked to adhere to the following process when submitting requests for DNA testing.
