Hayden Hanson was awarded the 2020 Burnham Youth Award at the 2020 ABCA AGM.

Hayden is a third generation Brangus breeder who is very passionate about the Brangus breed and looks forward to continuing his involvement in the Brangus community in future years.

Hayden aspires to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Seed Stock Producer and Property/Livestock Agent. Hayden also plans on fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming an Auctioneer.

After completing his schooling Hayden is planning to spend two years working on a large-scale Australian cattle operation and a stud operation in the United States of America where he will acquire practical knowledge and skills to support my application to Marcus Oldham to undertake a Bachelor of Agriculture.

Hayden attended the inaugural Brangus Youth Camp at Biloela in January where he received a number of awards including 1st place Junior Stud Judge for 16 – 25 years, Herdsman Award for 16 -25 years, Overall Junior Stud Cattle Judge and Grand Champion Herdsman which has made me eligible to Associate Judge a breed at Beef Australia 2021. Hayden's goal for the 2021 Brangus Youth Camp is to be a mentor/team leader for the younger age groups.

As a part of the Burnham Youth Award Hayden receives some prize money and will be the Associate Judge at the EKKA 2021.
