Dear Brangus Members,

We regretfully inform you that the Brangus Carcase Competition will not run in 2022. Low expressions of interest, high weaner prices and lack of feeder weight cattle available are all contributing factors.

The Brangus Carcase committee will spend some time throughout 2022 planning for 2023. We are exploring new ventures and are trying to change the competition in numerous areas.

If you have any suggestions big or small please contact any of the committee as we a considering a big restructure of the competition.

The past 6 years have been a lot of work for our unpaid committee. Timeless hours on the phone and face to face meetings. I would like to personally thank them for their time and efforts.

Also a big thank you to all suppliers of cattle, large or small. The consumers of your meat throughout local butchers and taverns thank you.

It has been a proud moment to watch how Brangus meat made it's stamp on the beef industry through a little competition dreamed up over a beer. I look forward to a new chapter.
