The 47th Rockhampton Brangus Sale will be held on Sunday 8th & Monday 9th of October 2023.

The change in sale dates has occurred due to stipulations enforced by CQLX.


The heifer sale will be held on Sunday 8th beginning at 4pm. The commercial females will sell first and be followed directly by Registered Females, Embryos, Semen Packages.


The bull sale will be held on Monday 9th beginning at 9am.


Nomination forms for the 47th Rockhampton Brangus Sale are now available. Similar to last year, to alleviate any delays with post, this year’s nomination forms will again be electronic.

Please note that there have been several changes to the Conditions of Sale in the last 3 years, please see the changes listed below;


1.        The sale will be conducted on Sunday the 8th & Monday 9th of October 2023.


2.        Sale nominations close at 4pm TUESDAY 18th JULY 2023. Nominations must be completed online, and late
            nominations
WILL NOT be accepted.

Nomination fees must be received before nominations will be accepted. Nomination fees will be invoiced through your Brangus Australia membership account. Please ensure that you reference your deposit with your Herd ID.

7.        The nomination fees are as follows;
7.        Registered Bulls   $137.50
7.        Herd Bulls   $200.00
7.        Registered Females   $77.50
7.        Semen Packages (10 x straws)   $22.00
7.        Embryo Packages (4 x embryos)   $55.00

Entry fees include entry to the sale, animal images published online and transfers after sale.

14.      All Females must be penned by 1pm on Sunday 8th October 2023 and

14.      all Males must be penned by 7am Monday 9th October 2023.


15.      All Registered animals MUST have a Brangus Genomic Bundle (50K or 100K SNP, PV, Poll/Horn, Coat & Tenderness
            tests) competed.
The Brangus Genomic Bundle must be COMPLETED through the ABCA prior to nominations
            closing.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.   


18.      All Bulls at Association Sales must be inspected by ACV Accredited Vet for a Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness
14.      Evaluation (VBBSE) which will include a Semen test within 8 weeks of the sale. A copy of the Veterinary reports
14.      must be forwarded to the ABCA by Thursday 5th October 2023 and the originals given to an ABCA staff member at
14.      the sale yards, prior to sale. 


19.      All bulls must have a crush side Semen test result of 60% or above within 8 weeks of the sale. If retesting occurs,
18.      Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.


20.     All Bulls will require a minimum Qualifying Pass Morphology result within 8 weeks of the sale. If retesting
20.     occurs, Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.


21.      All animals must meet a condition score of 3 as a minimum.

NOMINATION FORM STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE CONDITION SCORING GUIDELINES

2023 SALE CATALOGUE

Similar to 2021 and 2022, this year’s sale catalogue will be A4 and full colour. There is an opportunity for vendors to place images of sale animals within the catalogue (there will 8 images to a page with each image clearly labelled with the lot details).


Images will need to be provided by the Vendor and will be $150 each. There are limited spaces available so if you would like to secure an image, please email marketing@brangus.com.au ASAP.


The changes in the catalogue have also provided Vendors with an opportunity to place adverts in the catalogue. Below is the Advertising Prospectus and Booking Form if you are interested in booking an advert in the catalogue.
