DNA Requirements for Roma & Rockhampton Sales


A reminder that all registered animals (bulls & heifers) being sold in 2023 MUST have a Brangus DNA Bundle completed through the ABCA prior to nominations closing. DNA processing takes 6-8 week so to guarantee your tests have been completed before close of nominations, they need to be submitted ASAP.

Nomination Dates
Roma:
Nominations open 1st June and close 30th June
Rockhampton: Nominations open 1st July and close 28th July


Important Information

  • All DNA submissions must be accompanied by a completed DNA Application Form
  • DNA must be sent to the ABCA office via post to Brangus Australia, PO Box 814, Armidale NSW 2350
  • To order DNA supplies (hair cards & TSUs) please email office@brangus.com.au
  • DNA must also be completed on supplementary animals
  • Bulls which do not have their DNA results returned in time will be catalogued and sold through the ring as Herd Bulls


No exceptions to this Condition of Sale will be made.

DNA TESTING PROCESS ABCA have made the following changes to the DNA Testing Process to implement an effective and efficient process. By implementing these changes, the DNA testing process can become more efficient - resulting in quicker sample arrival at the lab reduced risk of sample damage minimized discrepancies ultimately benefiting the members and enhancing overall experience Members are asked to adhere to the following process when submitting requests for DNA testing.
