Nomination forms for the 18th Roma Brangus Sale are now available. Similar to last year, to alleviate any delays with post, this year’s nomination forms will again be electronic.

Please note that there have been several changes to the Conditions of Sale in the last 3 years, please see the changes listed below;

2. Sale nominations close on
SUNDAY 18th JUNE 2023. Nominations must be completed online, and late nominations WILL NOT be accepted.

Nomination fees must be received before nominations will be accepted. Nomination fees will be invoiced through your Brangus Australia membership account. Please ensure that you reference your deposit with your Herd ID.

7. The nomination fees are as follows;
Registered Bulls $137.50
Herd Bulls $200.00
Registered Females $77.50
Semen Packages (10 x straws) $22.00
Embryo Packages (4 x embryos) $55.00

Entry fees include entry to the sale, animal images published online and transfers after sale.

14. All Registered animals MUST have a Brangus Genomic Bundle (50K or 100K SNP, PV, Poll/Horn, Coat & Tenderness tests) competed.
The Brangus Genomic Bundle must be COMPLETED through the ABCA prior to nominations closing. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

15. All scanning and weighing of animals MUST be conducted on property prior to the sale. NB: Dentition is no longer required.

16. All scanning and weighing MUST be carried out by an Accredited Scanner. *Weights will not be accepted unless supplied on documentation provided and signed by Accredited Scanner*

17. Copies of the Accredited Scanner reports & vet reports for all animal’s (including substitutes) must be provided to the ABCA office no later than 4pm on Friday 25th August 2023 for inclusion in the supplementary sheet information to be compiled and made available to the Selling Agents and potential buyers as well as uploading on the ABCA website & social media. Vet reports MUST be signed by the Vet and the Vendor.

18. All cattle MUST be penned by 2pm on 31st August 2023. A physical copy of the Veterinary report must be delivered to the Sale Committee by 4pm on 31st August 2023 at the sale yards.

20. All Bulls must be inspected by ACV Accredited Vet for a Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation (VBBSE) which will include a Semen test within six weeks of the sale.
Vet reports MUST be signed by the Vet and the Vendor.

21. All Bulls at Association Sales must have a crush side Semen test result of 60% or above. If retesting occurs, Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.


22. All Bulls will require a minimum Qualifying Pass Morphology result within 8 weeks of the sale. If retesting occurs, Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.


23. All animals must be a minimum condition score of 3.

NOMINATION FORM STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE ACCREDITED SCANNERS CONDITION SCORING GUIDELINE

2023 SALE CATALOGUE

Similar to 2021 and 2022, this year’s sale catalogue will be A4 and full colour. There is an opportunity for vendors to place images of sale animals within the catalogue (there will 8 images to a page with each image clearly labelled with the lot details).


Images will need to be provided by the Vendor and will be $150 each. There are limited spaces available so if you would like to secure an image, please email marketing@brangus.com.au ASAP.


The changes in the catalogue have also provided Vendors with an opportunity to place adverts in the catalogue.

DNA TESTING PROCESS ABCA have made the following changes to the DNA Testing Process to implement an effective and efficient process. By implementing these changes, the DNA testing process can become more efficient - resulting in quicker sample arrival at the lab reduced risk of sample damage minimized discrepancies ultimately benefiting the members and enhancing overall experience Members are asked to adhere to the following process when submitting requests for DNA testing.
