Dear Brangus Breeders,


The 45th Rockhampton Brangus Society Sponsored Sale will be on Monday 11th starting at 1pm & Tuesday 12th starting at 9:30am October 2021. The 2020 Rockhampton sale was extremely successful and the sale continues to attract more nominations each year.


To provide an equitable & fair system for nominations the Sale Committee invites members to indicate by way of Expression of Interest the number of animals they intend to nominate for the 2021 Rockhampton ABCA Sponsored Sale.


It would be greatly appreciated if these numbers could be provided by Monday 31st May 2021.


Expressions of Interests submitted will only be a guide for the Committee and Agents and will no way be binding on any member. Sale Entry forms will be available from the 1st July 2021 and entries will close 16th July 2021.


Important Information


- All registered bulls require a Motility (crush side) Semen result of over 60%


- Heifer Sale will start at 1pm. Commercial heifers will be sold first and will be followed directly by Registered heifers


- Scanning and weighing will be done on Sunday 10th October at CQLX.

- Dentition is no longer a requirement

- All Registered Bulls must have a Brangus Bundle Genetic Test

- Brangus Bundles must be requested on Registered Bulls (including supplementary animals) before close of entry

- Black bulls will be sold first and red bulls will be sold directly after

DNA TESTING PROCESS ABCA have made the following changes to the DNA Testing Process to implement an effective and efficient process. By implementing these changes, the DNA testing process can become more efficient - resulting in quicker sample arrival at the lab reduced risk of sample damage minimized discrepancies ultimately benefiting the members and enhancing overall experience Members are asked to adhere to the following process when submitting requests for DNA testing.
